A Widow’s Watch
When my husband’s health started to decline gradually, there were things that he could no longer do because his illness not only affected him cognitively but also motorically. I never realized how good I had it. I never realized just how much Gene did to keep things going until he could no longer do the things that he had always done like paying bills. I had to find a way to make things easier for me because of the many tasks that I had to take over. One of the first things I did was put our bills on auto pay because we were both sticklers about making sure we paId our bills on time. We always wanted to make sure we had good credit. That was very important to us.
